Why We Push Hard
Autism – Also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. There are approximately 3 Million people in the Autism spectrum in the United States alone. Supporting the individuals and families this disorder affects is very close to the heart of Push Hard founder Patrick Howard who has a son on the spectrum.
Organizations like Autism Speaks, Autism Fitness, Autism Society and more continually progress how people with Autism are supported in society. There is a common factor amongst all of them too. They all see value in providing nurturing, yet challenging, physical and cognitive programs. Building a stronger mind and body connection supports healthy social, mental, and overall health. In Autism, this connection provides even more benefits within those with Autism. Patrick and Push Hard are on a mission to use his abilities to push hard in the gym to fuel great Autism research and support organizations with awareness and donations.
